Over the Christmas holidays, I spent a few hours updating my first personal website, tuscaloosaweb.com. It’s funny how Tuscaloosa Web came about. I started it in 1995. At that time I was learning how to create web pages using HTML code typed into the Notepad text program. A work associate had just created a website for my University of Alabama department (The University of Alabama Center for Public TV and Radio) using Microsoft Word. I have recently updated a web project I began 15 years ago. AlabamaInfo.com now has a slightly new look and is powered by WordPress, a blogging platform that can also be used as a content management system. AlabamaInfo.com was one of my earliest efforts at building a website. It began as one page and grew from there.
